No communication with Display through customers network

Potential Symptoms

  • Copper Ethernet specific
    • No connection through site's network but able to communicate with sign using laptop with direct connection to Ethernet surge card in Com box.
    • If connecting laptop or PC to Ethernet run from building, unable to see the network.
  • EBR Specific:
    • Unable to connect to sign even though both the server and the client EBR's have power and show good status lights.
    • No communication from site's PC through the network but able to connect to the display when computer is directly connected to Power Over Ethernet (POE) or DC-injector.
  • Fiber Ethernet Specific
    • Cannot connect through site's network but able to communicate with sign controller if directly connecting laptop or PC to Ethernet jack on indoor Fiber Media Converter.

* Laptop or PC LAN will need to be configured to a static IP address compatible with display controllers current IP address.
