Unable to get status in Venus after adding or configuring 2nd display

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to get status to display/s after adding/configuring a second display in the Venus software (SW)
  • After configuring the first display the Venus SW was communicating with the display

Environment

  • Galaxy 2V display
  • Ethernet communication
  • Venus V4

Cause

2V display configured incorrectly as 2 separate displays

* 2nd display is configured with the same IP address

Resolution

  1. 2V displays only have 1 controller so the 2nd display can be removed/deleted from the Display Management window in Venus V4
  2. Click Orange V in upper left of Venus 1500 V4 application window
  3. Click Configure>Displays
  4. Select 2nd display that was configured
  5. Click Remove Display
  6. Close Display Management Window
  7. Select display in Venus (Home) window and verify the display is now communicating
