Potential Symptoms
- Receiving error when trying to save a presentation in Content Studio:
- Failed to save the presentation because of an unexpected error. See log file for the error details.
- The following error appears in Content Studio Log.
- Window XP Location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Daktronics\Content Studio\Logs
- Windows Vista or 7 location: C:\ProgramData\DAKTRONICS\Content Studio\Logs
- Error: System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: The URI is empty.
Environment
- Content Studio
Cause
- The instance of Content Studio opened as a bad instance. When trying to save the presentation, the path in which Content Studio is trying to access is causing the Invalid URI error. This is similar to typing in a bad URL in a web browser.
Resolution
- Launch a new instance of Content Studio and try to save presentation again.
- If error still occurs, run a repair on the Venus 1500 install/update to the most recent version or see Receiving error when trying to save a Presentation in Content Studio "Failed to save the presentation because of an unexpected error.
