Getting error Content Studio has stopped working and needs to close when trying to edit or open a retrieved presentation on computer other than one used to create the presentation, Wrong display configuration value

Potential Symptoms

  • Content Studio stops working if attempting to open or edit a presentation after retrieving presentations from the sign on a computer other than the one used to create the presentation.
  • After selecting OK, the Content Studio does not close and is not locked up, just unable to open or edit.
  • Able to preview the presentations fine.
  • Getting error Content Studio has stopped working and needs to close when trying to edit or open retrieved presentation on computer other than one used to create the presentation

Environment

  • Venus 1500 V4
  • Galaxy, GalaxyPro

Cause

  • Display configuration is incorrect (E.g. set up as a Galaxy, not a Galaxy Pro).

Resolution

  1. Click Orange V in upper left corner of Venus V4 application.
  2. Go to Configure > Displays.
  3. Select display and click "Edit Display" at the top.
  4. In Product Family field, choose GalaxyPro.
  5. Verify that all other configuration settings are correct and click "Continue".
  6. Keep clicking Continue on remaining configuration pages to accept current settings.
  7. Click "Finish" when present to accept the configuration changes.
  8. If asked if wanting to remove all files and folders, select YES.
  9. Close Display Management window.
