Time is incorrect on a Galaxy display using Display Studio

Potential Symptoms

  • Time is incorrect on a display being controlled by Show Control system software.

Environment

  • Galaxy AF-3500 or SS (Sports Star)
  • Show Control System (SCS)
  • Venus 1500 software not installed

Cause

  • Display Studio does not auto correct the time when connecting to the display.  If Venus 1500 is not available, the time/date will need to be synchronized via M2Config

Resolution

  1. Verify Time Zone and Time on PC are correct.
  2. Use M2Config to Synchronize the time and date.  Follow How to synchronize the time and date on the display with the computer using M2Config

Note:  If the display is on the network it may be possible to use NTP for time synchronization.  Follow How do I setup a network time server on a Galaxy display?
