Game time lagging, play clock stuck on 60; Radio interference

Topic

  • Game time isn't keeping up on scoreboard but is on the all sport console.
  • Slow response time on scoreboard when information is sent from all sport console.
  • Clock lags or loses seconds then catches back up even though there is good line of site from scoreboard to console.
  • Clock or game time lags observed even though both antennas are tightly connected and in an upright vertical position.
  • Play clock getting stuck or periodically showing 60 rather than the 25 or 40 seconds it should and is not counting down but other clock is working fine.
    • If console is shut off the clock remains lit showing 60.

  • Component: All Sport receiver Gen 5 or Gen 6 (R5/R6)
  • Control System: Wireless All Sport console Gen 5 of Gen 6

Steps

  • Other wireless scoreboards in the area on same broadcast and channel settings are creating interference.
  • Change the broadcast and channel settings on the radio receiver located inside the scoreboard.
    • In the event issue is with play clocks and settings need to be changed on one clock to resolve the issue, change settings on both clock receivers.
