Gas Price, Alpha-numeric Keypad, only showing two prices after decimal

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to enter 9/10s section on alpha-numeric keypad.
  • Only showing two places after the decimal on the one price, other prices showing three.
  • When trying to enter 3 decimal place, numbers shift to include only the last three numbers entered (i.e. trying to enter 3.859, keypad will show 8.59).

Environment

  • Gas Price or Petroleum Displays
  • DM-100 handheld (Alpha-numeric Keypad)

Cause

  • Accidentally deleted/removed a space on the keypad.

Resolution

  1. When asterisk is flashing next to the price section on the keypad, hit the down arrow button.
  2. Hitting the button will add an extra space after the decimal.
  3. Enter the desired price and send to the display.
