Using DM-100, price is shifted,dollar position is blank; Wrong Function

Potential Symptoms

  • When sending price from DM-100 handheld, the price going to display is not correct, it is shifted.
    • Screen on DM-100 shows $##.## instead of $#.### For International digit layout.
    • Screen on DM-100 shows $#.### instead of $##.## for Domestic digit layout.
  • When sending price the dollar is blank and where the dollar amount should be is in the ten cent location.  The ten cent amount is at the penny location.  Penny amount is not on the board.
  • DM-100 controller is displaying "Searching for Device".
  • Decimal point is in the wrong spot or location.
  • The DM-100 will not allow you to change the rightmost digit of the price.

  • Product: FL-3000 (Domestic), FL-4500 (International), Fuelight 3000/4500 Series, Gas or Petroleum Display
  • Component: DM-100 function setting
  • Control System: FLR3-1500, or FLD3-2000

Cause

  • Settings are incorrect.
    • Function and/or decimal location.

Resolution

  • FL-3000 should be set to Gas Price function.  Steps to setup FL-3000 display systems.
    1. Power up the DM-100 handheld.
    2. Hit the set function button on the DM-100 handheld when the boot-up of the DM-100 shows Change Function Press Set Function.  This option to change the function will only be available for a few seconds.  If it is missed, power cycle the DM-100 to try again.
    3. Use the arrow keys to select Gas Price.
    4. Resend the price to the display.
  • FL-4500 should be set for Rate Display function and it needs to have the right decimal setting selected.  Steps to setup FL-4500 display systems.
    1. Power up the DM-100 handheld.
    2. Hit the Set function button on the DM-100 handheld when the boot-up of the DM-100 shows Change Function Press Set Function. This option to change the function will only be available for a few seconds. If it is missed, power cycle the DM-100 to try again.
    3. Use the arrow keys to select Rate Display.
    4. Hit the Menu key on the DM-100 handheld.  Hit the down arrow button until it says Display Menu and press Enter,
    5. Hit the down arrow until it says Display Option and press Enter.
    6. Choose the correct decimal location using the down arrow then press Enter on the DM-100 handheld.
    7. Select Enter again and press the Menu Button on the DM-100 handheld.
    8. Resend the price to the display.
