Content Studio: How do I use the Format Painter?

Resolution

The Format Painter is a tool used if you have more then one text box element. You can copy your text box settings or format (Font Type, Size, Color etc.) from one text box element and apply to another that does not have the same format or settings.
  1. Launch Daktronics Content Studio (Content Tab -> Create).
  2. Click Insert Tab.
  3. Select a Text Box and/or Time, Temp or Date.

  4. Select one of the Text Boxes or Data Fields so that the green-dotted border appears.

  5. Apply formatting to the element from the Home tab by choosing Font Type, Size, Color etc.
  6. With the first text box or data field selected, choose Format Painter from the Home tab. 
    • If formatting only 2 text boxes or data fields, single-click the Format Painter.

    • If formatting more than 2 text boxes, double-click the Format Painter. 
  2. Select the additional text boxes in order to apply the same format as the first element.

     
  3. Click the Application Menu, click Save or Save As.
