  • When importing a graphic or image into Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop software the Venus 1500 v4 installer pops up and installs software and prompts PC restart

Environment

  • Venus 1500
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe PhotoShop

Cause

  • The Venus 1500 .exe.config files are corrupted or the Microsoft .NET Framework on the computer is bad.

Resolution

Step 1: Update the software to the latest version, follow DD1993540 on how to update, or repair the software if at the latest version.


Step 2: Run a repair on the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP 1 - Follow DD2078587


Step 3: Remove all three .exe.config files and repair Venus 1500 v4.

  1. Go to C:\Program Files\Daktronics or C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics.
  2. Go into each folder listed, and delete each file listed.
    • Content Studio Folder - Remove/Delete ContentStudio.exe.config
    • Venus 1500 v4 Folder - Remove/Delete Venus1500.exe.config
    • Nucleus Server Folder - Remove/Delete NucleusServer.exe.config
      • It is required to stop the Daktronics Nucleus Server. Follow DD2236444 on how to stop the service.
  3. Go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features.
  4. Locate Venus 1500 v4 install select Repair or Change/Remove and select Repair option.

Step 4: Restart Computer.
