    Error:
    Venus 1500 Installer Information
    Error 1402. Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Daktronics\Venus1500\V2\Installed Components\Venus 1500 Schedule Studio. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

Cause

The Registry Keys had multiple permission entries for Administrators. Two were set to Allow while a 3rd was set to Deny.

  1. Go to Windows Start Menu -> Run -> Type regedit -> Ok.
  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software.
  3. Right-click on Daktronics folder -> Permissions.
  4. Click Advanced.
  5. Check the permission types on all Permission entries.
  6. Select and highlight any duplicates, click Remove.
  • If there is a single entry, write down the Name, select and highlight -> click Remove. Then click Add… -> Under Enter the object name to select, type the name you removed. Click Check Names -> Ok.
  1. Click Apply -> Ok.
  2. Try Repair, Install or Uninstall of Venus 1500 v3 again.
