Getting "Feature Locked error" when trying to import dive list in OmniSport ProDive software

Potential Symptoms

  • Receiving a feature locked error in ProDive software even though the software has been unlocked.

Environment

  • OmniSport ProDive software

Cause

  • User is not running program as an administrator.

Resolution

  1. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator" each time you open the software.
  2. You can also set the program to always run as administrator if you are using a shortcut from the desktop.
    1. Right click on the shortcut and select "Properties."
    2. Select the "Shortcut" tab.
    3. Click "Advanced."
    4. Check the "Run as Administrator" check box, then click "OK" and "OK."
      • Note: This method will only run the program as an Administrator when it is run from this shortcut. If you run from another shortcut or the actual program location, you will still need to select the "Run as Administrator" as in step one.
