Communication loss settings in Vanguard Professional V4 software

Potential Symptoms

  • Sign goes blank after a period of time.
  • Short error status of communication error.
  • Message changes to blank or runs a different message than intended. 
  • SRC field shows COMM LOSS, MSG field shows BLANK.

Cause

  • A communication loss message shows when the server loses communication with the display.

Resolution

  • This can be changed in the Display Control Panel feature within Vanguard software.
    1. Double click on the sign to open the Display Control Panel.
    2. Click on Change event activations in the left column.
    3. Click on Change communication loss activations.
    4. Change to what you need it to be set to. Yes or No.
    5. Follow the prompts in the menus to what you need them to be set to and then click finish once completed.
