Show Control: No displays available in Content Studio. Sign service not configured

Potential Symptoms

No displays are available when trying to open Content Studio for Show Control Software.

Cause

Sign service not set up for the display in Display Studio.

Show Control Systems Display Studio does not allow manual creation of displays. They can only be added to the database when they are installed and communicating in the Display Studio Software.

Resolution

Install and Connect the display to the network or the computer with the Display Studio Software installed.
Detect and Configure Displays in Display Studio.
1. Launch SCS Display Studio
2. Click the Square Application Menu -> Properties -> Service Configuration.
3. In the IP Address or Service Name type in the IP Address.
4. Click Test Service.
5. The box below should show the sign as 'Ready'
6. Click Add, to add the display to the list below.
7. Click Ok and exit the Service Configuration window.

NOTE: Display(s) should be listed when you go to launch the Content Studio (Pencil Icon in upper right corner of Display Studio).

For Temporary Operation

Only use this work around if the Display is not install and you would like to start creating content before the display is installed. Otherwise please install the display and connect to the network and follow direction in the Resolution section above.
