Gas Price with LED Matrix Caption; The 9/10s is flashing on and off

Potential Symptoms

  • 9/10 is flashing on and off on each side.

Environment

  • Gas Price Display with LED Matrix Caption
  • 2 sided, 8 column MASC driver
  • AF-3040 single line

Cause

  • Caption, Price, and Hold Time settings on DM-100 are incorrect

Resolution

Set up DM-100 to have a proper Caption, Hold Time, and Price. Follow Directions below:

1. Press up arrow until 01 is displayed
2. Press Enter
    (First character of caption will be flashing)
3. Enter the desired caption using the Alpha/Numeric keypad
4. Press Enter
    (Blinking Asterisk will appear next to the Hold Time)
5. Enter the desired old time using the Alpha/Numeric keypad
6. Press Enter
    (Blinking Asterisk will appear next to the price)
7.  Enter the price using the Alpha/Numeric keypad (including a 9 for the 9/10s if this is desired).

  1. If the 9/10s is desired; press the down arrow until 4 decimal places appear.
  2. If the 9/10s is not desired press the down arrow until 3 decimal places appear.  

9. Repeat steps 1-8 for prices 02-13 entering a Hold Time of OFF or 0 for those prices you do not wish to display

10. Press the Display Sequence Button and ensure the preview shows as desired

11. If the preview looks good then press the Display Sequence or Enter button to send to display. If the preview does not look good then press the Menu button twice and repeat steps 1-11.
