VIP-4060, VIP-5060: How do I enable a backup VIP?

Resolution

The primary and redundant VIP should not both be set to active at the same time.

VIP-4060

  1. Log into the web interface of the VIP that needs to be Activated or set to Inactive.
  2. Locate the switch in the upper right corner either colored green and labelled Active or colored grey and labelled Inactive
  3. Click the switch to toggle the status between Active and Inactive.

 

VIP-5060 (HTML interface)

  1. Log into the web interface of the VIP that needs to be Activated or set to Inactive.
  2. Click the Output tile on the dashboard.
  3. Under the "Output State" heading, click either the Active or Inactive state and then click the Save button.
