When moving presentation from one folder to another, a data access error appears in alerts.

Potential Symptoms

  • Attempting to move a presentation from one folder to another folder in Venus 1500 V4 Content Tab.
  • Presentations have the same file name.
  • When right clicking on message and selecting "Move To", a new window appears saying "There is already a file with the same name in this location."  
  • Selecting "Move and Replace", creates the following alert.
  • Attempting to delete presentations from content tab. Receiving alert "The presentation cannot be deleted. The file is currently in use."

Cause

  • Rights missing from Disk Data folder.

Resolution

  • Give full control rights on Disk Data folder.
    • Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Daktronics\Nucleus Server
    • Windows Vista/7 - C:\ProgramData\Daktronics\Nucleus Server
      1. Right-Click Disk Data folder, choose Properties.
      2. Select Security Tab (If security tab is missing follow DD2078545).
      3. Highlight each group/user listed and give full rights.
      4. To add user, click Add and enter user log in information.
      5. Click Check Names and click ok.
      6. Click Apply and Ok.
