Windows XP
Option 1: From Control Panel

  1. Click Windows Start Menu -> Control Panel.
  2. Click Folder Options.
  3. From the View Tab, under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

Option 2: From Windows Explorer.
  1. Open My Computer or Windows Explorer.
  2. Click Tools.
  3. Click Folder Options.
  4. From the View Tab, under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
Windows Vista or 7
  1. Open Computer or Windows Explorer.
  2. Click Organize.
  3. Click Folder and search options.
  4. From the View Tab, under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

Windows 8 or 10

  1. Open Computer
  2. Click the "View" tab on File Explorer's ribbon
  3. Click the "Hidden items" checkbox in the Show/hide section.
