Venus 1500: multiple hour long playlists scheduled, display freezes

Potential Symptoms

  • Display freezes on random message
  • Venus 1500 shows correct message is playing in Running Presentations but in Display Status area of Venus 1500 shows message that is frozen on display.
  • Real time Data is still active (updates accordingly).
  • Able to replicate on Daktronics emulators.

Environment

  •  M4, GP3-132x132-16MT-2V-DMP4060-V1500
  • Venus 1500 version 4.16/4.17

Cause

  •  Messages created to run for one hour. That combined to the hour long schedule cause a loop on the message.

Resolution

  1. Set messages to run at 10 seconds (or default).
  2. Can leave schedule to run one message for an hour. Message will run for only the hour scheduled.
