All Sport is not displaying speed of pitch.
Potential Symptoms
- All Sport console does not display speed of pitch.
- Speed of pitch registers on Jugs radar gun.
- User can manually enter speed of pitch into All Sport console and have it display on scoreboard.
- Data from Jugs gun can be seen in TeraTerm when plugged into serial port.
- CL TX light stays lit when the cable is plugged into the silver bullet Signal Converter.
Environment
- Jugs radar gun
- All Sport 5000
- Silver bullet signal converter
Cause
- Not using a null modem cable. The cable from the gun to the signal converter must be nulled. The cable Daktronics ships with the label is nulled, but if a replacement serial cable is being used, this can be overlooked.
Resolution
- Replace standard serial cable with a nulled cable.
