Steps

Note:  This resolution will require approximately 15 min and 2 reboots to perform.

  1. Open the Venus 7000 shell, click Configure, click Device Drivers,
    • Make note of which displays have drivers associated with them, and which type of driver and Brd#.  This information will be needed later when the driver is added back in.
  2. Go to the Signs tab
    • Double click on the sign that has a driver associated with it to open the Sign Configuration
    • In the Device Driver dropdown list, drop the list down and select the top-most space, which will be empty. This will remove the driver from that sign
    • Click OK on the bottom
    • Repeat this for each sign that has a device driver associated with it and is having an issue outputting.
  3. Click on the Device Drivers tab again
    • Click on the Device Driver you just unassociated, which should end in _0
    • Click Delete Driver, then click Yes
    • If you have multiple cards, you will have more drivers, and they will also need to be deleted if they are having errors as well.
      • A V7000 driver will have 4 drivers for each card - always delete the _0 driver, as this will remove all the other 3 drivers on the card.
      • A V6500 driver will only have 1 driver - always just delete the single driver
    • Click OK
    • You may or may not be prompted to restart the computer, do so either way.

  4. When the computer reboots, open the Venus 7000 Shell again, click Configure, then click Device Drivers
  • Click the corresponding button for the correct driver you need to reload.  If the driver you deleted started with V70QT add a V7000 Driver.  If the driver you deleted was a V6500 add V6500 driver.
  • Change the Board Number to what was recorded in step 1, and then click.  This will add the driver back.
  • Click Signs tab, double click the sign that needs the device driver, and in the Device Driver dropdown, select the new driver (usually _0 of the driver that was added)
  • Click OK, and then OK again. Restart the computer.

Now the drivers have been reloaded. You can now double check to see if the version information is present on the Device Drivers tab,  if there is no information under the Ver column, the VMax card will need to reseated, or replaced if that does not fix the issue. Once the computer is back up and displaying a Ver number, try to play content. If you still have problems, then another issue is present.  Please contact Technical Support if this is the case.
