When activating divers in Pro Dive software I receive an update query error

Potential Symptoms

  • Pro Dive software when gives a constant "update query error" when activating a new or different diver within the software

Environment

  • Windows 7 Operating System
  • Pro Dive Software

Cause

  •  Pro Dive not set to "Run As Administrator" within Windows 7

Resolution

  1. For Windows 7, ensure most recent software version of Pro Dive is installed on the computer
  2. Right click on the Pro Dive shortcut on the computer desktop
  3. Select "Run As Administrator"
  4. Click Yes
  5. Whenever starting up Pro Dive, always click yes to allow software to modify system

Work Around

  1.  If there is no shortcut on the computer desktop for Pro Dive follow these steps:
    1. Click Start
    2. All Programs
    3. Daktronics
    4. OmniSport Pro
    5. Hover mouse over Diving 2.0
    6. Right Click
    7. Select "Run As Administrator"
    8. Select Yes
