Messages that should be running are stuck in the stored area in Venus 1500, Scheduling Issue

Potential Symptoms

  • The schedule is running in the schedule view but in the message view all the messages are in the stored area and the sign is blank.
  • Messages don't move to running when the schedule is resent.
  • Presentations in schedule are only showing in Stored Presentations (Venus 1500 v4).
  • Cannot get content to move into Running Presentations (Venus 1500 v4).

Cause

  • Incorrect Start and End Times.  Typically this will occur when a schedule end date is past its end time.
    • The start and end dates and times are not set correctly.

Resolution

For Venus 1500 V3

  1. Change the start / end date for each of the messages.
  2. Save the edited schedule.
  3. Re-publish the new schedule to the display. 

For Venus 1500 V4

  • Adjust the start and end dates and times for the playlist in question.
    1. Open playlist by double-clicking on it.
    2. Change Start time and date accordingly, if necessary.
    3. Move end date and time ahead so content will start playing immediately, if necessary. 
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Publish To Display
    6. Click Yes to Overwrite Messages prompt.
  • Notes:
    • Put a check mark in the checkbox next to Play Continuously if you want the playlist to play 24/7 until 12/31/2037.
    • If you want the playlist to play 24 hours a day for a specific date range or only on certain dates, then you must set the start time to 12:00:00AM and the end time to 11:59:59PM.
    • If using Continuous mode scheduling, make sure "All Day" is checked.
