White or gray outline where the software should be, Video driver failure.

Potential Symptoms

  • Software will not fully launch. Only a white or gray outline, box or border appear where the software should be.
  • These two errors are random errors that can pop up at the startup or shutdown of the PC. 
    • IMPORTANT: These errors are not linked to Venus 1500 v4 software. These errors are possibly related to the Video driver by having a bad image installed.
    • C:\Windows\System32\igfxrENU.lrc is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor for support.
    • C:\Windows\System32\igfxress.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor for support.
    • C:\Windows\System32\XXX.dlll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support

Cause

  • Software will not launch due to a failure in the video driver. 

Resolution

  • Update Video Driver and/or verify that the video card is not faulty
    • User will need to contact their IT Department or Computer Technician to update their Video/Graphics Driver on the Computer. Daktronics does not perform updates drivers.
