When publishing a message that is larger then 1.2 MB, get a File Size Warning message "The maximum allowed file size to send is: 1.2MB" in Venus 1500 v4

Potential Symptoms

  • When trying to publish a message that is larger then 1.2 MB, get a File Size Warning message "The maximum allowed file size to send is: 1.2MB" in Venus 1500 v4.
  • Error:
    File Size Warning.
    "File Name" can't be send to "Display Name."
    The maximum allowed files size to send is: 1.2 MB.

Environment

  • Venus 1500
  • M3

Cause

  • Color depth is incorrectly set in Venus V4.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Orange V in the upper left hand corner of Venus 1500.
  2. Go to Configure, then Displays.
  3. Select your Display, then click Edit Display.
  4. Set the display to the correct color depth:  RGB 32K for M2, RGB 68 Billion for M3.
