TriCaster Studio: Unable to switch camera inputs consistently, Daktronics video system.

Potential Symptoms

  • Tricaster Studio is unable to switch from one camera to another consistently.

Environment

  • Tricaster Studio

Cause

  • Tricaster has 3 video buffers to allow for camera switching. One or two buffers is not working and is not able to switch from one camera to the next.
  • Power may not be antiquate for the rear panel.

Resolution

  • Replace Tricaster.

For Temporary Operation

  • Select a blank or unused input before selecting the camera you wish to select, selecting the blank or unused should be done for at least two seconds.
Example: You only have cameras 1 & 2 set up on inputs 1 & 2. To switch from camera 1 to camera 2 you must select an input with no input on it like input 3 two seconds.
