Potential Symptoms

Cause

  • When creating images or videos in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Aftereffects you can add metadata to the files to describe what the file is or other various information. Venus 1500 v4.14.2 and lower was unable to handle the extra metadata added to the jpeg files.

    How to verify error in the ContentStudio.log file:
  1. Go to the following location:
    • Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Daktronics\Content Studio\Logs
    • Windows Vista\7 - C:\Program Data\Daktronics\Content Studio\Logs
  2. Double-click ContentStudio.log text document to open.
  3. Scan through errors and logs locate the following error:
BitmapImageHelper.LoadFromMemoryStream() handled exception:System.ArgumentException: Value does not fall within the expected range. ---> System.ArgumentException: An invalid character was found in text content.
