Venus 1500 Version 4, Software Freezes or hangs when getting status, trying to configure display, or open Content Studio
Potential Symptoms
- When trying to go to Configure displays the display management window freezes and does not load in Venus 1500 v4.
- When trying to get status of display software freezes or get hung up.
- When opening Content Studio software freezes or hangs up.
- When attempting to publish schedule to the display the Venus application hangs, often needs to be force closed using Task Manager.
- When trying to load the Display Management window the software locks up and does not load the window. (Yellow highlighted area shows where Display Management window should load but does not).
In Windows Event Viewer shows software receives an Application Hang Error.
Environment
- Venus 1500 Version 4
- .Net Framework 3.5 (Win XP)
- .Net Framework 4.0 (Win 7)
Cause
- The .NET Framework went bad or is corrupted.
Resolution
- Run repair on .Net Framework.
