Receiving a "exceeded power limits of hub port" from USB device
Potential Symptoms
- Receiving the following error message: "A USB device has malfunctioned and exceeded the power limits of its hub port. You should disconnect the device."
- No communication through USB device.

Cause
- Bad USB port on computer.
Resolution
- If available, plug the USB device into another free USB port and verify it detects/functions correctly (can check Device Manager for errors).
- If still no resolution, USB device could be malfunctioning or causing USB ports to go bad.
