How to update firmware on DDMS controller

Resolution

  1. How to update firmware using DFTP software?
  2. Download the firmware files to your computer:
    1. Choose which file you need.
    2. ED139172, for NTCIP Version 1
    3. ED172630, for NTCIP Version 2
    4. Loading firmware to the controller:
      1. Open DFTP Software.
      2. Enter controller's IP address.
      3. Click Connect and make sure that files populate in the right window.  This indicates successful connection between DFTP and the controller.
      4. On the left window, select the firmware to send over to the controller.
      5. Click on the button with double arrows pointing to the right to send the firmware file over.
      6. Once transfer is complete verify the Reset Only radio button is selected and then click the Issue Reset button in the lower right hand corner.
      7. The controller will reset, the software lost connection. The firmware is now updated.
