Setting up All Sport 5000 with RTD in Venus 1500 version 3

Potential Symptoms

Not getting All Sport 5000 to display on board.

Environment

  • Venus 1500 (3.12)
  • Configuration
  • Windows XP

Cause

The com port for the All Sport 5000 was not setup in Venus 1500 v3 RTD.

Resolution

  1. Find out what com port is being used for the All Sport 5000.
  2. Then open RTD (button 5 on the shell in Venus 1500 version 3).
  3. Double Click the input that you would like to configure the All Sport on.
  4. Then once the Input properties box comes up >> click configure.
  5. Select Serial com port and then name the com port (All Sport 5000 is an example) and then click "OK".
  6. This will bring up the properties for the Com Port setting up.
  7. From the drop down port box >> Select the com port being used.
  8. Under the Baud drop down >> select 19200.
  9. Under Data bits = 0 and Parity = none.
  10. Click ok and that will take you back to the Input Properties.
  11. Click ITF and choose the itf that you will use for the All Sport.
  12. Then should Select Display and choose the display that you want to Authorize to use this input.
  13. Then click close.
