  • Microsoft SQL Server and Native Client are not showing in Programs and Features in Windows 7 but are installed.

Cause

  • Causes is unknown. When looking in the list in Programs and Features the SQL Server, Native Client and other SQL Server components are not showing up.

Resolution

  1. Go to Programs and Features.
  2. Left panel click Turn Windows features on or off, Close/cancel window when it appears.
  3. Left panel click View installed updates.
  4. Left panel click Uninstall a program.
    • Note: This seemed to make the SQL components appear in the list. This is not a confirmed fix or if it is a strange bug in Windows 7.
