DakStats Rodeo 3000 error "Encountered a problem and needs to close" when opening software

Resolution

1. Backup the Database.   The location is at:
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\DAKTRONICS\DakStats 3000 Rodeo
Vista/7: C:\ProgramData\Daktronics\DakStats 3000 Rodeo
2. Uninstall the DakStats Rodeo
3. Download and install the software from https://dakfiles.daktronics.com/downloads/DakStats/
4. Setup the software with the correct IO Settings

5. Close the program and move the databases over to:

 XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\DAKTRONICS\DakStats 3000 Rodeo
 Vista/7: C:\ProgramData\Daktronics\DakStats 3000 Rodeo

6. Test to make sure that all IO settings work and that they are able to open the events.

NOTE: You may have to repair the databases using Microsoft Access 2007.

        1. Open Microsoft Access 2007.
        2. Click on the logo in the circle in the top left corner
        3. Select manage and then click Compact and Repair Database
        4. First Box is going to ask you where the database is and the second dialog box is going to ask you what and where you want to save the repaired database at.
        5. Then move the new database back into DakStats Rodeo folder and try that. Make sure that the new database has the same name as the old database.
