Time skipping on clock using wireless console; Issue with antenna connection to receiver

Potential Symptoms

  • Wireless scoreboard clock skips seconds intermittently during game.
  • The console and the receiver antenna are in line of sight of each other but communication is still intermittent.
  • Spare antennas or tightening the antennas without over-tightening them are not resulting in better communication.
  • Broadcast 0 Channel 0 setting do not display anything on the scoreboard.
  • Using a known good console does not result in communication.
  • Changing the channel setting in the radio receiver is not resolving communication issue.

  • Control System: All Sport 5000, All Sport 5500, All Sport 1600 (Gen 5 or Gen 6)

Cause

  • Break in radio wires in radio receiver.

Resolution

  • Replace radio receiver
