Potential Symptoms
- Getting connect failed error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".
- Unable to publish content to the display.
- Able to connect to the sign with M2config.

Cause
- Old style configuration on controller.
Resolution
- Connect to controller with latest version of M2Config. Set the configuration with the correct default settings and upload them. Follow How to configure the standard settings for Commercial Galaxy Displays in M2Config, DD2241913.
If this can't be done you can contact tech support and have them reference DD2025015 Galaxy serial communications to assist you.
- Reconnect with M2 to ensure that there are no config errors when connecting. (The GUID.DAT error is normal on AF-3400 and below).
- Clear the display memory.
