Unable to add a playlist or presentation to schedule in Venus 1500 V4

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to add a playlist to schedule.
  • Cannot add content to a playlist
  • When clicking on Schedule Tab and clicking Add or Add Playlist, nothing happens.
  • When clicking on Display Tools, nothing happens.
  • When clicking on Publish or Publish to Display, nothing happens.
  • Content is not publishing out to the display

Environment

  • Venus 1500 v4

Cause

  • Venus 1500 v4 is in the progress of obtaining status to the display. While Venus 1500 v4 is in the progress of obtaining status, you cannot modify or change playlists and schedules.

Resolution

  • Set software to offline (bottom right hand corner of software window) and add to playlists as needed.

    Note: You will still be able to perform all functions with the sign set to offline. The only difference is that it will not refresh the time, temperature, and other information the software polls from the sign. You will still have the ability to create, publish, and manual refresh information from the display.
