When launching Venus 1500 v4, receive an error ' An error occurred while logging in. There was no endpoint listening at net.pipe: ....'

Potential Symptoms

  • When launching Venus 1500 v4 receive an error ' An error occurred while logging in. There was no endpoint listening at net.pipe: ....'
    • An error occurred while logging in. There was no endpoint listening at net.pipe://localhost/Daktronics/Nucleus/UserManagementService that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.
           
  • Daktronics Nucleus Server will not start. 
  • Also, could get SQL server(Nucleus) is not running. Run as administrator or restart computer error when launching Venus 1500 v4 program.

Cause

  • Certificate or key became corrupted within the Windows Operating system.

Resolution

Step 1: Check for Nucleus Certificate Error and remove existing certificate.

Step 2: Delete the Nucleus Server.exe.config File and Repair Venus 1500 v4.

  1. Stop the Daktronics Nucleus Service.
  2. Go to Windows Start Menu -> Computer or My Computer.
  3. Navigate to the following location:
    • Windows 32 Bit: C:\Program Files\Daktronics\Nucleus Server.
    • Windows 64 Bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\Nucleus Server.
  4. Delete the Nucleus Server.exe.config file.
  5. Run a software repair on Venus 1500 v4.
