Unable to change any gas prices using RC-50, dipswitch settings incorrect

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to change any prices.
  • If Primary/host driver was a replacement it may be showing E4.
  • RC-50 light (DS5) blinks on primary driver when pushing a button on the remote but driver does not respond.

Environment

  • Product Family: Digit and Price Displays
  • Product: Fuelight, FL-2000, FL-4000
  • Component: Digit driver RC-50 dipswitch settings
  • Control System: FLR-100 (RC-50)

Cause

  • Remote was set with unique dip switch address as a security measure and RC-50 switch setting (S3) on Host driver does not match.

Resolution

  • Match the dip switches in the remote with the S3 dip switches on the primary driver.
    • There may be silicon on the driver dip switches that will need to be peeled back to access them.
