No communication with the display in Venus but able to connect with M2config and can ping IP address of the sign
Potential Symptoms
- Venus will not connect to display but able to ping display IP address, may be able connection using M2config. May be a new computer.
Environment
- Venus 1500
- Ethernet communication (Fiber Ethernet / Copper Ethernet / Ethernet Bridge Radios)
Cause
- IP address entered in the display configuration in the Venus 1500 software does not match the actual display IP address.
- Hardware (HW) address of the sign doesn't match what is configured in Venus 1500.
Resolution
- Verify the sign's IP address and set the software accordingly.
- Verify the hardware address on the sign controller and set the software accordingly.
