Unable to communicate with the Galaxy display after changing the IP address in M2Config, Configured connection not updated
Potential Symptoms
- Successfully changed IP address on the controller but is now unable to connect to the new address.
- Able to Ping the new IP address.
- IP address changed on computer NIC.
Environment
- Galaxy: AF-3150, AF-3160, AF-3165, AF-3180, AF-3190, AF-3197, AF-3200, AF-3220, AF-3400, AF-3500, AF-3550
Cause
- The configured connection setting in M2Config has not been updated and M2Config is attempting to connect to the old or incorrect address.
- The configured connection setting is set to a different address than controller.
Resolution
- Set M2Config connection to the proper IP address of the sign under the "Network" -> "Configure Connection" drop down menu.
- Change address entered in M2 to match the controller address.
