Video or Moving Content will not play on the display, Freezes, Venus 1500 V4, GPR, Galaxy

Potential Symptoms

  • Display is freezing when playing moving content.
  • Video or entrance and exit effects do not play.
  • Display freezes after content is published for an undetermined amount of time, then will freeze again, repeatedly.
  • Display stuck on one message or frame and will not change to other messages in the playlist that are published to the sign.

Environment

  • Venus 1500 (v4)

Cause

  • Zoning policy is active.

Resolution

  • Check the zoning policies in V1500 options to see if the zoning policy is active.
    1. V1500 Properties is located by clicking on the Orange V in the top left corner and then clicking V1500 Options.
    2. Click the Policies tab and see if Enforce Policy is checked.
    3. If the zoning is active, remove the zoning by deselecting the Enforce Policy, and then check if the video or content will play correctly.
      • Note:  Be sure to be informed of any city ordinances that should be enforced before removing the check in front of Enforce Policy.
