How to move Venus 1500 v3 Database to remote server or shared access location.

Resolution

Note:  The Venus 1500 V3 database can be shared between multiple computers as detailed below, however, when publishing to the display the last computer used to publish will override messages previously published on any other computer(s).

  1. Open Venus 1500 Administrator.
  2. Choose Edit -> Database.
  3. Select Remote Database.
  4. Click Browse.
  5. Browse and select where database needs to be placed or directed to, Click Ok.
  6. Click Ok.
  7. Click Yes to prompt.
  8. Close out of Venus 1500 Administrator and Display Manager and re-launch Display Manager. All folders and messages should appear in the Available Messages panel.
  9. Repeat steps as necessary for all computers needing to access a remote database.
