Venus 7000 Sign Service will not start due to Password Change

Potential Symptoms

  • Venus 7000 Sign Service will not start and an error appears when attempting to start from the Windows Services Console.

Environment

  • Recently changed the password for the computer
  • DMP-7000, VMAX4

Cause

  •  User and/or Password for the Venus 7000 Sign Service is incorrect.

Resolution

  1.  Right-click on My Computer and select Manage.
  2.  On the left panel, expand Services and Applications.
  3.  Select Services.
  4.  Find Services Venus 7000 Sign, Venus 7000 Remote, Venus 7000 Grouping, and Venus 7000 Custom RTD.

     

  5.  Double click each service depicted in step 4. A window will appear with tabs at the top, select the Log On tab.
  6.  Make sure the account name is correct, and make sure both the Password and Confirm Password fields match what is used to log in.
  7.  Click "OK" and restart the computer.
