No communication, No green power light on radio j-box, Transformer output not 12 VAC

Potential Symptoms

  • No power light on Radio j-box (J-box not receiving power).
  • No communication.  Unable to update, add, or remove messages from the display but old content may still be running fine.
    • Using Venus 1500 v3, Display turns red in software with error code -6 "No response from display".
  • J-box transformer shows physical damage.

Cause

  • Wall pack transformer (AC adaptor) is broken and not supplying power (12VAC, 1667 mA) to the radio j-box.

Resolution

  • Replace transformer.
