How to perform a Factory Reset on Gen. 2 Serial Radios

  1. Locate the hex switch on the radio needing to be reconfigured/reset as seen above.
  2. Document which channel is currently being utilized.  Note: The channels between server and client radio must match in order for communication to take place.
  3. Power down the radio.
  4. Use a small flathead an turn the channel counterclockwise to Channel F.
  5. Power the radio back up.
  6. Leave it on Channel F for at least 10 seconds while powered on.  All signal strength LEDs will flash ON and OFF when all values have been reset.
  7. Power down the radio.
  8. Return the channel to the original value.
  9. Power the radio back up.
