Venus 1500 V4 is publishing schedule updates slowly and experiencing intermittent connection issues.

Potential Symptoms

Cause

  • Issue is caused by the playlist running until the default end date year of 2037 and the software going through the calendar to add it to each date.
    And/or
  • There are multiple schedules set to play for the next year for specific days that are not reoccurring.
    And/or
  • Large schedule is being published to two displays grouped together.

Resolution

  • Publishing that many schedules will take a long time. Try sending schedules a week before hand instead of scheduling for the whole year in advance.
    And/or
  • Set the end date year as close to the current year as possible. Setting the date a few years out noticeably speeds things up.
    And/or
  • Try publishing fewer updates at a time; publish multiple times to make multiple smaller changes instead of one large update.
