Ethernet Bridge Radio (0A-1382-0100), Frequency Interference, Radios are reported as dipping below the 902 spectrum

Potential Symptoms

  • Ethernet Bridge Radios are operating or broadcasting on a private frequency band and outside of the default 902-928 MHz range.  This call will likely come in after someone, such as Verizon or Sprint, has identified our radio as a source of interference in an area.
  • Manufacturer serial number starts with BE.

    Cause

    • Missing electronic component that allows the radio to operate outside the intended frequency band.
    • Also check for corrosion on the radio module. Corrosion may have damaged a part, causing the radio to give off harmful interference.

    Note: This may be described as "frequency splatter".

    Resolution

    • Replace radios - contact Daktronics Technical Support 1-800-325-8766
