Resolution

  • A lock code can change with any of the following changes:
    • Disk ID
    • MAC Address of NIC Card
    • Computer Name
    • Reformat the Computer
    • Change Operating System on Computer
  • Note:  The lock code is created by hashing the values of the  properties listed above. If one of them changes, it changes the hash, thus changes the lock code. It is not possible to decrypt a lock code to find out what values the above properties are because it is hashed.
  • Note: V4.22.3 and newer version do not require licensing.
