DakStats: Missing Players or Stats after MLB In-Venue download
Potential Symptoms
-
Stats for a certain player do not appear after a successful download. Also, a full game's stats for the previous day may be missing.
Environment
- Product:
- Components: Professional Baseball, DakStats Baseball
- Control System: Show Control System (SCS)
Cause
- This typically happens after players are traded but may occur if the MLB does not mark the prior day's game as complete. Most often the issue is a problem on the MLB side and they need to be notified.
Resolution
- If the missing stats might be because the player was just traded, request MLB to fix the "x-refs" for the missing player and to rebuild the last game for their team. Otherwise simply notify them that the prior day's stats were not included in the download.
- Perform another download to obtain the latest player stats once MLB fixes the issue.

For Temporary Operation
If the player download cannot be fixed before the game starts:
- With the correct play-by-play game open in DakStats baseball, right-click the player in the roster who is missing stats, and then click Edit Season Stats:
Note: The stats on this screen should reflect the season totals before the game started. so, if editing stats during the game, only enter the season total prior to the start of the game. stats from the current game are automatically added to the season stats.
- Change the player's stats as needed, and then click OK. This is a good idea for anyone that may have recently been added to the roster.
Other Helpful Tips:A quick way to double-check for missing stats is to enter the team lineups in DakStats, then open DSTI and click View Data. This will display the totals for the in-game players.
- If there are two lines of stats for a particular player, the second line is the pinch hitting stats. These two lines are automatically added together when displaying totals. All that matters is that the player total reflects what you want to display.
- Innings Pitched (IP) is based on Team Putouts (TM PO): 3 TM PO = 1.0 IP.
- On Base % requires you to fill in AB, H, SF, BB, and HBP.
