Several enhancements have been made to the DMP-8000 Dashboard to improve usability, monitoring accuracy, and overall visibility into system health and performance. These updates focus on making dashboard information easier to understand and navigate while providing more detailed diagnostic data for operators and support personnel.

What's New

Monitor Tile Improvements

The Monitor tile has been updated to provide a more accurate representation of ribbon displays.

Changes:

  • Ribbon displays now maintain a 1:1 aspect ratio instead of being stretched into a 16:9 format.
  • When necessary, the display image is striped to preserve the correct aspect ratio.. In some cases, if the stripe is very long, some of the image will be cropped to ensure the ribbon doesn’t go below a minimum height.
  • Users can now select which sign to monitor directly from the Monitor tile.

Benefits:

  • Improved visual accuracy when monitoring displays.
  • Faster switching between monitored signs.
  • Easier identification of display content and issues.

 

Outputs Tile Enhancements

The Outputs tile has been redesigned to provide more detailed information about connected signs.

Changes:

  • Each page now displays one output at a time.
  • The tile lists all signs assigned to the selected output.
  • Long sign lists support scrolling for easier viewing.
  • Audio-enabled status is displayed for each sign.
  • Tile placement has been adjusted to improve dashboard navigation.

Benefits:

  • Better visibility into output-to-sign relationships.
  • Easier identification of audio-enabled signs.
  • Improved readability for systems with large numbers of connected signs.

 

Drive Health Tile Updates

The Drive Health tile now provides expanded storage diagnostics.

Changes:

  • Added support for NVMe drives.
  • Displays:
    • Drive health percentage
    • Total operating hours
    • Current drive temperature
  • RAID drive support is not currently available and may be addressed in a future release.

Benefits:

  • Better visibility into storage device condition.
  • Improved monitoring of modern storage hardware.
  • Additional diagnostic information to support proactive maintenance.

 

Performance Tile Renamed to Utilization

The former Performance tile has been renamed Utilization to better communicate what the data represents.

Changes:

  • Renamed Performance to Utilization.
  • Utilization calculations now provide more granular values rather than only a few fixed states.
  • Updated utilization algorithm combines multiple system metrics to provide a more meaningful overall value.
  • Added GPU utilization support for Linux systems.
  • Improved CPU utilization reporting accuracy on Linux by using a more reliable data source.

  • Clearer understanding of system load.
  • More accurate system performance visibility.
  • Improved Linux platform monitoring.
  • Better representation of CPU and GPU resource usage.

 

Identification Tile Enhancement

The Identification tile now supports scrolling when a system contains more than three signs.

Benefits:

  • Easier navigation in multi-sign configurations.
  • Improved visibility of available signs without requiring additional interface changes.

 

Dashboard Layout Updates

Several dashboard tiles have been repositioned to improve navigation and organization.

Examples:

  • Outputs moved closer to Monitoring.
  • Storage grouped near Drive Health and Utilization information.

Benefits:

  • More intuitive workflow.
  • Faster access to commonly used monitoring information.
